7 Things to avoid in Thailand (and what to do)

With recent events, the image of Thailand is offensive. Do not say anything about adultery stories in full moon celebrations, taxi driver strikes, and corrupt cops. Thailand sometimes seems to have a bad reputation. However, Thailand remains a holiday destination for tourists from all over the world and understand why. The country has the best postcard garden in the world, decorative temples, rich culture, delicious food and all at affordable prices. So where does the inequality come from?

1. Vacation Resorts

Avoid: Khao San Road. Bangkok's number one destination is a petri dish of cheap bars, dirty shops and northern tourists. This does not mean that the "access" area is safe and cheap, but many people avoid the noisy street and do not see the rest of the city.

Instead: Sukhumvit and Siam Square are popular and convenient alternatives. You can also visit the Fra Hanong broadband area or the original Sou Ngam Dupli support center. Or better yet, do your own Airbnb or Couchsurfing and spend a few days with the locals, see the other side of town. Ari, a Gypsy coffee district, is a bit more expensive, but there is a good AirBnB option here. Bangkok also has some of the best deals on 5 star hotels, so if you want to land, this is the place to do so at a reasonable price!

2. Get a taxi

Avoid: Talk to the taxi driver. This is a surefire way to get a great price.

Instead: insisting on using a counter - refusing to use taxi drivers is illegal. But if that's the case, then walk down the main street and try to find it until you find it. UBER and GrabTaxi are also working in Thailand so you can call cars without cheating, but you need to have information on your phone to use these services. If you want to rent a taxi for a day, you can negotiate a price in advance with the driver. Price varies, but usually varies from a few thousand seas a day, depending on the distance. 3. Thailand Entertainment

Avoid: Dripping tennis badges. Do I really need to explain? This is a specific type of sexual performance known in some parts of Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya. The biggest risk is being downstairs and not being able to pay much money, especially in the Patpong area. If you really need to feel one, some of the Cowboys bars offer colorful versions of the show as long as you buy drinks, but there may be a longer wait between actions.

Instead: Watch one of Thailand's many impressive performances with talented artists. Maybe it's a cultural show in Phuket fighting Muay Thai in Bangkok or extravaganza-kabu in Pattaya. 4. What to do in Pattaya

Avoid: areas with Pattaya seeds.

Instead: enjoy the beautiful Pattaya gardens, the spectacular views and the neighborhood attractions. Don't miss the amazing Thursday of the Truth (pictured above), the Nong Nooch Tropical Tropical Garden for a little quiet and a cab show (Tiffany's or Colosseum show). For kids, Cartoon Network Waterpark or Art in Paradise is an interactive gallery favorite. And for travel, ultra-light flights to the region are by no means impossible. Near Chantaburi is a remote export region of Thailand and is the perfect place to test fruit kingfish on various fruit farms offering buffet dishes. Ko Samat, in the neighboring province of Rayong, is the closest island to Bangkok and has some of the best recreation areas in the capital. All these locations can also make the perfect trip from Bangkok by using a private driver's car.

5. Markets Markets

Avoid: Little bail. It can be an insult.

Instead: decide how much you need to pay to join. At what price you offer, sell for about 50% and trade from there. Of course, common tricks are used (check prices at other stores, act ineffective, walk away). In the end, if you argue about some baht in Thailand, make a lot of money and pay, in the grand scheme of things that don't feel lost. The best market to visit in Bangkok at the best prices is the original Talat Rot Fai train market near the Siacon area. It is also the capital of hipster Thailand.

6. Works in Phuket

Avoid: Current and tourist areas of Phuket. Patong - I'm looking for you. I do not suggest that you totally avoid Phuket, this is a good base and there are some of the best hotels and restaurants in Thailand. But if you don't like a night of fun, then you should avoid some areas of Patong.

Instead: avoid the crowds at Patong Beach, avoid the shelves and the night friends. Instead, explore nearby but tranquil trenches like the Tri-Triangle Line, or better just take a day trip to Paradise Island. Tachay Island, Similan Islands and Raya Island have some of the highest Thai cuisine, all for a short trip from Phuket. It is expected that within the country the travel world is ready to attract the quiet souls. Running 50 meters, a high forest course and a four-wheel bike tour are just some fun activities.

7. Elephant Tourist Places

Avoid: the bad financing of the elephant. Sometimes elephants enter cities and travel to tourist destinations to force travelers to pay for food. Do not do it! This is just financing the elephant's bad attitude, a recurring problem in Thailand.

Favorite: Select an elephant's living room. Some good options include: Elephant Nature Park, a northern Thailand rescue and recovery center, the Pylon Butt Lot Reserve for surviving elephants, and the newly discovered or open Khao Kheow Zoo, a large zoo near Pattaya with a good reputation.
